Women's Ministry

We all need friends and during this historical season of the coronavirus it is more difficult than ever to “connect”.  It is vital to a woman’s well-being to refresh, renew and revitalize these of our relationship even under the current restraints.  Faith and friendship go together.  The Bible spells it out for us.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just a in fact you are doing.” I Thessalonians 5:11

”….a sweet friendship refreshes the soul”  Proverbs 27:9b

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother (sister) is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

While we cannot meet in person, we can still connect via technology. For the month of June we have the following planned:

online group

How Together

Online Comunity meeting  Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. we will learn a how-to (together)!

June 9 – Crocheting 101.  We will be taught basic stitches and make a dishcloth.  You will need a size G or H hook and cotton yarn.

June 16 -  Repurpose those old jars!  Start saving your glass jars/mason jars and let create with them.  You will also need acrylic paint and paint brush.

June 23 – ASL American Sign Language – ever wanted to learn basic sign language?  Now is your chance and all you need are your hands!

Online  life group

Esther...

This incredible study by Beth Moore leads us through a study on the life of Esther and how it can be applied to other lives today.  Seriously, is there a more appropriate time to study “for such a time is this”?  This Life Group is offered in conjunction with the Board of Christian Education.  We plan to start the first week of June.  If you are interested please contact Julie (juliec@woh.rr.com), Pastor Dwight or Ann Pruitt.  Books will be ordered the end of May.

Hot Seat!

Missing the faces of the women you love?  Have you seen that lady across the sanctuary and never met her?  Do you want to know more about some of the women in our church?  We can’t chat in person, BUT is that going to stop us???  NO!  Some volunteers  are going to be sharing their story and/testimony about themselves and you will have the chance to ask questions.  This is a fun and interesting way to find out who you share interest with, more about each other, etc.  Look for more details.  Coming soon!
